The Performing Arts portion of the Festival, open to students in grades 4–12, features 13 categories spanning vocal music, traditional folk dance, and instrumental performance. Participants qualify through teacher-submitted video auditions, which serve as event registration, and are evaluated using clear rubrics focused on technique, artistry, rhythm, and overall performance quality. Specific guidelines apply to each category, including limits on group size, accompaniment requirements, and performance selections. In addition to qualified performers, select guest groups and the Spoken Word winner are invited to perform. All accepted participants perform on Festival Day and receive designated awards, with prize amounts varying by category.
